If you are ever faced with the adventure of photographing my family, you best be able to move, fast, cheetah fast. They are not going to hold still for you. But it's one of the funnest things about taking pictures of them, you start to look for those little moments that will make a good picture, and when you don't get it you can still laugh it off and enjoy the time spent with them.
Them, being a family of two loving, and very very patient parents, five firecracker girls, and one brother-in-law who probably wonders what he got himself into every once and awhile. We traveled up to Angel Fire, NM, to spend the weekend having fun, snowboarding, and oh yes, celebrating Hannah's birthday.
I somewhat gave up on ever getting a great photo when the whole family is present, I still hold out a little hope that one of them won't notice the lens pointed their way and make a gargoyle face. You just have to catch them when they are asleep, like Tyche is in the above picture. The second on is of our grandmother Pie. The tree... I had seen it driving up to Angel Fire, and fell in love with it. On the way home I asked (OK maybe demanded, a little) that my sister stop (I'll only take three minutes, promise!) and let me get a few quick shots. Quick they were, but I am satisfied with them. Hope you enjoy.
